Slavoj Zizek expands these terms to include the fourth term, the “unknown known” that is precisely Freud’s unconscious and Lacan’s “knowledge which does not know itself.” The multimedia installation centers on the relationship between seeing and knowing and cultural blindness toward images surrounding war.
